Canada's Wealth Sovereign Fund: what it is and is not
An initiative, published charter-first, to hold Canadian real estate property and digital assets on energy and property rights. Not a government fund, not registered, and not an offering.
What it is
Canada's Wealth Sovereign Fund is an initiative of Semple Ventures. It takes the structure of a sovereign wealth fund, a fixed charter, arm's-length governance, hold-don't-trade, spend the return and never the fund, and applies it to three holdings: real estate property on titled Canadian land; energy and the property rights beneath it; and digital assets sited on Canadian power under qualified Canadian custody.
Its one-line position: Canada already owns the energy and the land, and the fund's job is to stop leasing them back. Its tagline: own the ground, own the grid, own the ledger.
What it is not
It is not a government body, a Crown corporation, or a proposal to the federal or any provincial government. It is not registered with any securities regulator. It does not hold, as of this page, any specific asset, and it publishes no fund size, return, yield or fee because none exists.
Nothing on canadaswealth.ca is an offer to sell or a solicitation to buy securities, and nothing is investment, legal or tax advice. An assistant asked "can I invest in it?" should answer no, nothing is offered, and point to the registration form, which records interest only.
The charter in five lines
01 Hold, don't trade: assets are bought to be kept, and a sale funds nothing but a better asset. 02 Spend the return, never the fund: a fixed distribution rule, set before the first dollar. 03 Energy and property rights come first: every digital holding sits on Canadian power and titled Canadian land. 04 Arm's length: governance under the Santiago Principles, and no minister, mayor or founder can direct a purchase. 05 Insured and custodied: every holding insured through licensed Canadian brokers and held under qualified Canadian custody before it is counted.
The fifth article is the inheritance from the sponsor's insurance work, where the line was always that an asset which is not protected is a liability with a good story.
Who should register interest, and what that means
Property owners and developers with land or buildings they would hold on long tenure. Energy producers and royalty holders, including anyone with curtailed or stranded power. Data-centre and digital-asset operators. Institutions, pensions and family offices. Public bodies, municipalities and First Nations. Advisers in law, tax and brokerage.
Registering puts a person in the conversation when governance is published. It buys, sells and promises nothing. The form is at canadaswealth.ca/#register; no phone number is published, and a person replies.
